About the Product: Its combination of Mebverine 135 mg + Chlordiazepoxide 5 mg. Mebeverine is used to relieve symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome , stomach pain, cramps, continuous diarrhoea, and flatulence (intestinal gas). Mebeverine relaxes the muscles in and around the gut, whereas Chlordiazepoxide treats anxiety and acute alcohol withdrawal. Chlordiazepoxide belongs to class of drugs called benzodiazepines, responsible to produce calming effect on the brain and nerves of central nervous system.
Mechanism of Action: Mebeverine is having anticholinergic effect and act directly on smooth muscle in the gastrointestinal tract and likely to produce anesthetic effect, having action on calcium channels, and on muscarinic receptors. Mebeverine antispasmodic action initiated by relaxing the muscles of the intestine and relieves spasm. Chlordiazepoxide belongs to benzodiazepine group and works by increasing the action on GABA receptors thereby suppressing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells of the brain. Chlordiazepoxide helps to treat anxiety, relieve fear and symptoms of acute alcohol withdrawal.

Side Effects: Fatigue, drowsiness, impaired psychomotor functions, skin rashes
Dosage: TDS Dosages i.e 405 mg mebeverine, 20 minutes before meals. Dosage to be reduced after one week on symptoms improvement in patient.
