About the Product: Etokart MR contains Etoricoxib 60 mg & Thiocolchicoside 4mg.Etoricoxib is classified as NSAID (Non-Steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) and is indicated for treatment of Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Psoriatic arthritis, Ankylosing spondylitis, Acute pain, Low back pain and Gouty arthritis.Thiocolchicoside is used for symptomatic relief of painful muscle spasm. It is indicated in adults and adolescents above 16 year of age and can be taken with or without food.
Mechanism of Action: Etoricoxib is selective COX 2 inhibitor and reduces the generation of prostaglandins from arachidonic acid. It has less activity on COX 1 compared to other NSAID, thereby having least gastrointestinal side effects. Thiocolchicoside used as muscle relaxing agent and it works by selective binding to GABA –A Receptors. Muscle contractions is prevented by Thiocolchicoside by activating the GABA Inhibitory motor pathway.
Indication : Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Ankylosing spondylitis, Chronic low back pain and Gouty arthritis.
Storage Condition: Store in a cool, dry and room temperature, protect from direct sunlight.
Side Effects: Diarrhoea, GI disturbances, Nausea, drowsiness
Dosage: as directed by Physician. Recommended BID DOSAGE FOR 5 TO 7 DAYS
