About the Product: Tonebone total is special bone building formula and all ingredients like calcium citrate. Calcitrol, vitamin k2-7, omega-3, work synergistically to promote bone health. The bone health declines due to loss of calcium from bones thereby causing bone diseases like osteoporosis, osteopenia and post-menopausal osteoporosis (fall of estrogen level after menopause, results in calcium depletion from bones)

Calcium Citrate Maleate: Tonebone total contain calcium citrate which is soluble form of calcium. Calcium citrate is made by mixing calcium salt in citric acid with malic acid and is better then other alkaline form of calcium like calcium carbonate. Since it gets absorbed in cell membrane which increases its bio availability thereby increasing the bone density. There is no risk of kidney stone with calcium citrate and have good safety profile.

Calcitriol .25 mcg: Tonebone Total contain calcitriol, which is synthetic man-made active form of vitamin D & active in the regulation of the absorption of calcium from the gastrointestinal tract and its utilization in the body. Most people get enough vitamin D from exposure to the sun and from fortified food products (e.g., dairy products, vitamins). Vitamin D helps control parathyroid hormone and the levels of certain minerals (e.g., calcium, phosphorus) that are needed for building and keeping strong bones.
