About the Product: Silymarin is a polyphenolic flavonoid derived from milk thistle (Silybum marianum). It consists of three phytochemicals, silybin, silidianin, and silicristin, and has a long tradition as an herbal remedy. Silybin is its most active phytochemical and is largely responsible for the proclaimed benefits of silymarin.
Silymarin has been used medicinally to treat liver disorders, including acute and chronic viral hepatitis, toxin/drug-induced hepatitis, and cirrhosis and alcoholic liver diseases. It has also been reported to be effective in certain cancers.
Medical research on milk thistle and liver health has led to mixed results. Studies show that silymarin helps ease inflammation and promote cell repair. This may help ease symptoms from liver diseases like jaundice, cirrhosis, liver cancer, and fatty liver disease.
L-ornithine L Aspartae: L-ornithine-L-aspartate is most commonly used for reduced brain function in people with advanced liver disease (hepatic encephalopathy). It is also used for athletic performance, cirrhosis, and other conditions. L-ornithine-L-aspartate increases the levels of ornithine and aspartic acid in the body. These amino acids help to reduce levels of a toxic chemical called ammonia in the blood.
N Acetyl L Cysteine: N-acetyl cysteine comes from the amino acid L-cysteine. Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. N-acetyl cysteine has many uses as medicine.N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) is a supplement form of cysteine.Consuming adequate cysteine and NAC is important for a variety of health reasons — including replenishing the most powerful antioxidant in your body, glutathione. These amino acids also help with chronic respiratory conditions, fertility and brain health. NAC plays an important role in your body’s detoxification process. It can help prevent side effects of drugs and environmental toxins. NAC can relieve symptoms of respiratory conditions by acting as an antioxidant and expectorant, loosening mucus in air passageways. As an antioxidant, NAC helps replenish glutathione levels in lungs and reduces inflammation in bronchial tubes and lung tissue.
Viitamin C: Vitamin C reduces oxidative stress and inhibits the development of experimental liver steatosis( intrahepatic fat of at least 5% of liver weight)) induced by choline deficient diet.
L Carnitine Tartrate: L carnitine transports fatty acids into the mitochondria for oxidation and also buffers excess acetyl-CoA away from the mitochondria. Thus, L-carnitine may play a key role in maintaining liver function, by its effect on lipid metabolism.
Choline Bitartrate: It is essential for making a substance required for removing cholesterol from your liver. Inadequate choline may result in fat and cholesterol buildup in the liver.
Inositol: It is dietary supplement which supplement burning of stored fat in the liver and also prevent excessive accumulation of cholesterol and triglyceride in the liver.
Vitamin E (acetate): Vitamin E is a potent antioxidant that helps to reduce oxidative stress in non alcoholic fatty liver disease.
Mechanism of Action: Silymarin increases the regenerative ability of liver cells by enhancing the synthesis of DNA & RNA ,as Silymarin has steroid structure. . silymarin helps ease inflammation and promote cell repair. Silymarin has protective effect on pancreas as it increase serum insulin, reduce serum glucose and rise of antioxidant enzymes and glutathione, as well as recover endocrine function and pancreatic morphology in diabetic patients.
